Would love to win some tickets. Favorite guitar player at the moment is another Joe, Joe Satriani. But would love to see this Joe rock Fresno!

Picking a favorite guitar player for me is like picking a favorite cheeseburger. With so many options and styles it can be a difficult decision. Yes everything does come back to food for me, even guitar players.

Jimi Hendrix takes the burger for me though. When it comes to charisma, talent, adaptability, sound and overall ridiculous runs and riffs, he’s pretty tough to beat. When I was taking lessons I always listened to Jimi and still do. If only I would have stuck with guitar I could have been the fatter and whiter version.

I would like to go see Joe Bonamassa. Fell in love with his music when I saw him on PBS. I bought his cd and can’t get it out of my player. It would be a great 58th birthday present. Thanks

Jim Davis says:

I really like Joe’s playing in the blues/rock genre, though I’m also a fan of Jonny Lang. Both are gifted guitarists that really put soul into their singing as well.

Dale Stewart says:

Saw his concert on Palladia: Great licks and wonderful array of vintage gear.

i’ve been lucky to see a few (santana, nugent, felder, montrose, van halen, schone, buckingham….) and many more. The one that stands out is Randy Hansen. originally a Hendrix inpersonator. He played in Santa Cruz, and got a guy with a prostetic hand to play on his guitar in the middle of a song. The place went nuts, the fan was in “rock n roll” heaven. The guy’s a class act and a true lover of his trade.

Renee N says:

I have him as one of my Pandora stations and it is awesome!! To see him live would be sweet!! :)

Brad says:

A couple of favorite players that come to mind are Buddy Miller and John Fogerty. Love that swampy sound. Or how about Jack White and Prince? David Rawlings . . . the list goes on and on and Joe is certainly one of my favs.

Sarah says:

My favorite guitar player is Tommy Emmanuel!

Steve R says:

Never seen him in concert.. Would be awesome to get a chance!

Beth says:

My favorite guitar player would have to be Joe Bonamassa! A good friend introduced me to Joe’s music by posting videos of him playing on facebook. At first it drove me batty, all the repeat posts of this guy I never heard of. Then I finally decided to watch on of the videos and I’ve been hooked ever since.
