BLACK MILK: If you like hip-hop like I like hip-hop — which is to say, not the stuff on the radio — then see Black Milk at Fulton 55 on Wednesday night. Dude is doooooope.

XZIBIT: If you like hip-hop that I liked in 1996, then go see Xzibit at Rome Nightclub on Thursday night. I honestly can’t tell ya what Xzibit has done in the last five years, but his first two albums were also doooooope.

WILD BLUE: Iconic Fresno band The Wild Blue gets together again for a reunion show on Saturday night at Fulton 55. Last time it did one of these, the show was paaaaaaacked.

CELEBRATE THE EXPRESS + XOTICA: It’s anniversary time at The Express, Fresno’s popular gay nightclub. On Thursday night, the Xotica drag show celebrates its eight-year anniversary then The Express itself celebrates nine years on Saturday night.

ON THE ROAD: Visiting our Valley this week: Brass Hysteria (Wednesday at The Lamp Post), White Chapel and Miss May I (Friday at Club Retro), Velvet Teen (Friday at The Cellar DoorJoyce Manor (Friday at Chinatown Youth Center), female tribute band Alison Chains (Saturday at Starline), Oblivion (Sunday at Chinatown Youth Center)

OFFICE HOP: Remember when those Fresno State students organized a open house of Fresno lofts a few weeks back? Well, the second half of that assignment comes to realization Thursday during the Downtown Business Bounce. More here, here and here.

SPEAKING OF COLLEGE KIDS: Fresno City College is having a talent show on Thursday night. Me and Kopi are going to be there judging. It’s going to be a Great Day. *gong*

STEADY MOBBIN’: The Clovis Chamber of Commerce is having a “Cash Mob” on Saturday. If you don’t know that it — as I didn’t — then read all about it. Fresno is getting in on the action too.

GOT A BIG APPETITE? Sequoia Brewing Co. is having a challenge and both its locations on Saturday at 4 p.m. to see who can eat its Yeti Burger quickest. The winners compete next Saturday for a $500 prize. Entry fee costs $15 for the burger and a beer to wash it down. More here.

ANYBODY KNOW … What the hell is going on here?
