Five Things You Should Do This Weekend
Other than watching Drake videos on YouTube.
1. WORSHIP WHILE YOU ROCK
Believe it or not, the Drake concert probably won’t even be the biggest concert at Save Mart Center this week. The popular Rock and Worship Roadshow, a Christian rock festival-style concert, arrives on Sunday. It was the top-drawing concert in Fresno last year. Tickets cost only $10 and are only available at the door. For more about Rock & Worship’s success, read this feature story from today’s Bee.
2. ROGUE ON, Y’ALL
The Rogue Festival winds down today and tomorrow. But there’s still lots to see. Might I suggest Blimprov or the second-weekend-only “Fear Factor: Canine Edition,” which stars an ex-Blue Man. Many more options on roguefestival.com. Read through our reviews for more help.
3. REGROW WITH DUBSTEP
Another big dubstep show Saturday night at Crest Theatre. It’ll have downtown shaking with bass from the likes of Helicopter Showdown and Minnesota. The place oughta be crawling with 16 year olds in crazy costumes. [Tickets]
4. SEE THE SUPPRESSORS — AGAIN
Once-popular local ska band The Suppressors reunite after a three-year break. The band is playing at Fulton 55 on Saturday night, heading a strong lineup of local tunes. [Tickets]
5. MIX WITH MOXIE
Newish local website The Full Moxie — a for-women-by-women site whose trio of creators includes our own Heather — celebrates its launch tonight with a free mixer at Tower Sports Club.
BONUS
Say ta-ta to local bands Rademacher, Fierce Creatures and Strange Vine as they leave for South By Southwest. This show helps them raise some money. Gas is stupid expensive, ya know.

It’s interesting The Full Moxie (which rocks, even for us boys) has colorful cocktails on it’s poster, yet the event is at a place where Jack and Coke is more likely to be served.
And btw, the Rogue techies who did the dress rehearsal for “Fear Factor: Canine Edition” said they were incredibly moved and openly wept at the stellar performance…and these are hardened RogueRoadies, so that’s saying something about this show.
Why must these Christians insist on “rocking” still? It doesnt work guys annnnnd it never has. Isnt Scott Stapp a major drunk still? Oh wait Creed broke up. Nevermind Christians! Have fun!
Fresno needs better fliers.
