The Beehive’s Guide to Fat Tuesday
It’s Fat Tuesday, which means your mundane Tuesday night might get overrun with beads, music, drunken party people and who knows what else.
Kreayshawn is still the biggest name in town, for her performance at Rome Nightclub. Yes, it’s still happening from everything I’m told, despite the drama at Rome. A lot of people think the show is canceled because the ticket site was deleted and all the pre-sale tickets were refunded, but the promoter tells me tickets are available at the door.
Here are a few more options and a bunch of fliers:
- Hear New Orleans-style funk with the Viper City Brass Band, at 9 p.m. at Landmark, 644 E. Olive Ave.
- Babylon Club, 1064 N. Fulton St., in the Tower District hosts a Fat Tuesday masquerade party with two rooms of DJs, go-go dancers, body painting and free masks and beads. 8 p.m.
- Rock bands Euphoria, Kinship and 30 Ways Insane perform at The Next Bar, 4231 E. Shields Ave. 9 p.m. $5.
- Underground hip-hop takes center stage at The Cellar Door in Visalia, 101 W. Main St., as Fatlip (from the Pharcyde) and Cee Knowledge (from Digable Planets) perform. 9 p.m. $12.

I see the Standard snatched up Lewis Everk. That was quick.
Lewis hasn’t been at Rome for a while now. He’s been doing most of his stuff at The Standard and Campagnia.
Only true Mardi Gras is New Orleans of course, but we can pretend right here in California.Sounds fun.The closest thing we got in the valley is the Tower District that beats all.But was there a problem last night?I heard alot of people left early an helicopters were flying around?
