Concert News: Jenny Lewis not visiting Visalia anymore
UPDATE: Bad news, hipsters. Jenny Lewis announced the cancellation of a bunch of a West Coast tour dates — including the Visalia show. More info here. Bummer.
ORIGINAL POST, 9/12: Jenny Lewis — the indie rock singer who’s fronted Rilo Kiley, released solo albums and even done some acting — will make a tour stop at Visalia on Oct. 25.
She’ll play an all-ages concert on Oct. 25 at the College of Sequoias theater, which holds about 400 people. Tickets cost $15 and go on sale today at noon via Ticketweb.
Lewis visits the Valley after playing the annual Bridge School Benefit concert in the Bay Area a few days earlier.
An interesting wrinkle in the Lewis-in-the-Valley story that many might not know: Her father, Eddie Gordon, lived in Fresno for many years. He was a harmonica player who performed around town, often with Steve Ono. Eventually, Gordon was diagnosed with cancer and moved to be closer to family. He passed away last year.

Can’t wait!
My 2 year old son & I enjoy singing her song from (of all things) Disney’s “Bolt” together. Interesting voice, great talent.
Eddie Gordon, creator of the ‘Sanford and Son’ theme. True talent.
She’s terrific…not my cup of tea, but her talent is amazing.
Love Jenny Lewis. I will be there. Has anybody ever had any luck getting seating for the Bridge School Benefit? I have tried the second they go on sale for two years and there has only been lawn availabe at Shoreline.
Her website says she is rescheduling the show! Hope she is, really want to attend.
