To-Do Tonight: Criss-crossing the city

  • Crossroads has a solid lineup for its weekly local rock night with Say Swear, Saints of Insanity and Synezra. Any other S bands out there they didn’t get tonight?
  • Up at The Standard, things are going hip-hop, as San Diego crew Outta Control performs a free show. Who doesn’t like free?
  • Back in the Tower, Starline Grill hosts singer/songwriter Merlinda Espinosa, who is an every-other-week fixture. It starts at 8 p.m. No cover. If you’ve been living under a rock, Starline is 21+ now.
  • It’s not downtown ArtHop tonight, but Tokyo Garden still has something happening. It’s launched a new Thursday night open mic comedy night hosted by Terry Michaels. It starts at 9 p.m. We’re guessing it’s not gonna be on the first Thursday of the month, though. Or else, the hipsters won’t be laughing.

Hipsters laugh? I kid…maybe.
