1. GET FESTIVE
All the Christmas-related stuff revs up this weekend around Fresno. That includes the opening of Christmas Tree Lane (and the first walking night tonight), the tree lighting at City Hall, Tuba Christmas and the Tower District’s Christmas festivities. Here’s a list of 12 different Christmas things to get out and do this season that includes details on all those plus more. For a deeper look behind some of your favorite Fresno light displays, check out this Bee story.
2. SEE THE ACEMAN
Got tickets to see Adam Carolla tonight at Tower Theatre? If you don’t, too late it’s sold out. If you do, then don’t forget to go. Here’s an interview I did with Carolla talking about leaving Fresno radio, starting up his podcast network and more.
3. ENTER THE ACHIEVEMENT HOUSE
On-its-way-up indie rock band Achievement House is releasing a new cassette and having a party to celebrate tonight. Yes, I said cassette. Maybe these cool kids are starting the revival of the “vintage” cassette tape. We’ll see. (You can get a digital copy soon too — watch the band’s Tumblr.) Anyway, Achievement House’s release party is tonight at The Barnyard in Clovis. Wanna know more about the band? Read up in this Artist You Should Know Q & A.
5. REHOP … OR HOP FOR THE FIRST TIME
The Treasury, a new multi-use artsy space downtown, doesn’t like to confine its ArtHoppin’ to just one day. So it holds Friday “Rehops.” So if you missed ArtHop yesterday or just want more, head over to The Treasury for art, music, fashion and more.
