Five Things You Should Do This Weekend

1. ROLL WITH THE ZOMBIES
Saturday is Fresno’s (now) annual Zombie Pub Crawl in the Tower District. You can get dressed up, hang out with a bunch of zombies and crawl from one Tower bar to the next in search of braiiiiiiiins booze. Some places, such as Babylon as you’ll see below, have their own complementing zombie events. Read more about the zombie craze here.

2. GET YOUR SUDZ
Sudz in the City is also Saturday. Lots has changed with this popular annual beer fest, which we broke down for you yesterday. In short: It’s now on the Fulton Mall and has an emphasis on craft beer. Pre-props to anybody who makes it to both Sudz and the Zombie Pub Crawl. [More]

3. SEE A GREAT SHOW
Two stellar local concerts top the weekend music bill, the first of which is tonight at Kuppajoe with From Indian Lakes (a Yosemite Valley band that is making some noise nationally) and Mercy Fists (it’s their CD release party). It’s at Kuppajoe, so it’s all-ages and the high-school kids can go. One note: Contrary to what the flier says, PK canceled. [More]

4. SEE A GREAT SHOW PT. 2
The other top show of the weekend is Copper & Glass‘ album release party at Audie’s on Saturday night. I already fawned over the band earlier this week. Now in today’s Bee, you can check out an interview with C & G frontman Jc Babb. [More]

5. FIND TRICKS AND TREATS IN THE ZOO
Chaffee Zoo’s popular Zoo Boo starts up tonight. It also runs Saturday and next weekend. The basic premise: You trick-or-treat in the zoo, which is decorated for Halloween. There’s carnival games, live entertainment and, of course, animals.  [More]

I don’t drink bro, so Im waiting for “Budz in the City’. We’re in the only city in California that wouldn’t tolerate that. Can they even call us a city anymore? Everywhere else has their cannabis-fests in this state where its like, mostly legal, a little bit not, and not one problem happens. Not this alleged city. Rather, we get em drunk legally then set them up miles down the street with our renowned oh so beloved checkpoints. That’s how we roll. If you don’t get the DUI that night, your’re going to especially with the way its encouraged.

Saturday night @ Tokyo Garden: From Klezmer to Glam-Pop & Beyond!
A wonderfully eclectic music show at a classic Fresno venue.
Even if you plan on partaking in one of the big local events: Zombie Pub Crawl, Sudz in the City… you can stop by at any time Saturday night and get a *jolt* of terrific music: 9ish: Frezmorim [9-piece klezmer band], 10ish two bands from Oakland: The Clarences [glam pop], Stalone’s Holy Rollers [indie folk-rock], and 11ish Blake Jones & the Trike Shop [local artsy pop band]. Come on by!
