Concert News: Backstreet’s Back (again)

It almost feels like déjà vu saying this — Backstreet Boys are coming to Fresno.

It was April when the all-grown-up boy banders played one of those Y101 Unplugged concerts at Twist. This morning comes word that they’ll be at Save Mart Center on July 1.

Tickets cost as little as $19.50, but as much as $150. Which begs the question: Are there still people out there willing to pay $150 (plus fees) to see Backstreet Boys? I suppose we’ll find out July 1.

Tickets, btw, go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Lucia says:

Hmm for $20 I may go. $150 seems outrageous. I’m curious to see who would pay that too.

Devin says:

For $20, I’d go. Only boy band I’d pay $150 for is Nsync if they reunited. Well, maybe NKOTB too. But definitely not missing-an-original-member- BSB.

Heather says:

*NSYNC for life!

Debi says:

There will always be people crazy enough to pay too much for tickets, just ask the scalpers.

Those BSB fans were willing to do almost anything for those acoustic tickets. Just ask Y101 how crazy their phone lines were for those two weeks before their show.

I only know this, because I could never get through to get a pair to see Tonic playing with before the Boys that night.
