I love it when Lonestar drops the statue on Barf’s foot. No? Wrong movie?
Yoda says it best- “Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? Hmm? Hmm. And well you should not. For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you; here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere, yes. Even between the land and the ship.
Darth Maul using the force to close the door behind him. Yeah, lame I know…
My favorite Force scene as a kid was when Yoda was training Luke and Luke was trying to get his X-Wing out of the swamp using the Force and he couldn’t. Yoda then showed him how it was done. For some reason I just thought that was cool.
“I find your lack of faith disturbing”\
Darth Vader choking Admiral Motti using only the force.
old skool.
ok an oldie but a goodie, yoda moving luke skywalker’s x-wing fighter out of the bog. is it a bog or a swamp?
i guess michael and i are on the same wavelength.
R2D2 fires Luke’s lightsaber into the air during the battle above the sarlacc pit and on Jabba’s barge, Luke grabs it and saves the day.
I like it when Leia used the Force just knowing that her brother, Luke was okay
It wasn’t a super obvious use of the Force, but a cool one none the less
my favorite scene where the force is used is where Yoda is training Luke
Well I’m confused, so I’ll just do both:
Star Wars Episode IV – when Luke uses the Force to blow up the Death Star
Mallrats – When Silent Bob uses the Force to pop a vhs tape into the tape deck!
Obi Wan to the Storm Troopers: “These are not the droids you are looking for.”
In “Attack of the Clones” when Yoda is about to fight Count Dooku… he opens his rope and uses the force to move his lightsaber from his belt to his hand… ignites the lightsaber and gives the eff u of all eff u looks.
Obi-Wan casually telling the stormtroopers “these aren’t the droids you’re looking for.” Nothing says I’m Awesome and I Know It like that move.
Best moment with the force has to be Yoda lifting the x-wing out of the swamp in Empire. “Judge me by my size do you? Well you should not, for my ally is the force and a powerful ally it is!”
I liked the first time Luke really starts to get in tune with the Force. In the Millenium Falcon with the training remote and helmet when he finally catches a few bolts with his saber.
When Padme says she will not go along with Anakin he begins to Force choke her because he feels she has abandoned him.
Empire: Vader vs. Luke
Luke is looking for Vader when Vader starts Force-flinging metal pipes and other objects in the room at him. Luke tries to swat away the objects with his light saber… looking very much like a blindfolded person swinging at a piñata.
“I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.”
Obi-Wan Kenobi, feeling the destruction of Alderaan
I definitely agree with the Padme response. For Anakin to be so overcome with this rage to the point of force choking the one woman in his life who truly loved her…man that’s intense. “Anakin, you are breaking my heart!”
hah hah.
Also Yodas AOTC fight scene…pretty kick ass. Cute little buggah.
My favorite… HOT!:
Darth Vader: He is here.
Governor Tarkin: Obi-Wan Kenobi? What makes you think so?
Darth Vader: A tremor in the Force. The last time I felt it was in the presence of my old master.
Governor Tarkin: Surely he must be dead by now.
Darth Vader: Don’t underestimate the Force.
Governor Tarkin: The Jedi are extinct, their fire has gone out of the universe. You, my friend, are all that’s left of their religion.
[answering a comm signal]
Governor Tarkin: Yes?
Voice over comm: We have an emergency alert in detention block AA-23.
Governor Tarkin: The Princess? Put all sections on alert.
Darth Vader: Obi-wan *is* here. The Force is with him.
Governor Tarkin: If you’re right, he must not be allowed to escape.
Darth Vader: Escape is not his plan. I must face him, alone.
Size matters not. Look at me. Judge me by my size, do you? -Master Yoda
when obe one kanobe used the force to trick the trooper
I was a fan of the light saber training using a blindfold
Luke pulling the saber out of the snow to defrost the ice around his feet, so that he can jack up the wampa. He does this like in two seconds. I always thought that was bad ass.
I know this has nothing to do with the force, but I always thought it was funny that Lando had a white slave.
WINNAH!!! Give this man the tix!
When Yoda raises Luke’s X-Wing from the muddy swamp using the force in “The Empire Strikes Back”
“These aren’t the Droids you are looking for….” A simple wave of the hand and the nonchalant, almost tossed aside line reading is classic!
Force grip. ‘Nuff said.
“These are not the droids you’re looking for”
X-Wing fighter out of swamp
The force has not sided with me in a awhile… so I can really use these tixs
Yea These are not the droids you’re looking for.
Yoda vs Dooku – Battle Royale
During the latter part of the Clone Wars cartoon when Mace Windu uses the Force to Crush General Grievous’ heart.
Oh and the movie quota. When Darth Maul pushes Obi Wan back during the epic fight scene in EP.1.
in the battle between yoda and the emporer slinging senatorial booths at each other!
oh oh, the brainwashing droids one.
I saw the first Star Wars 7 times the summer it was released.
OH Fave scene….it was in the first movie, when Luke was standing out on the dunes, looking over the land as the sun was setting. The music was perfect as the wind blew through young Luke’s hair and all the girls just sighed and looked at him. Hahaha really…..
The best use of the Force is when Luke uses it to blow up the Death Star!
“use the force, Luke”
In Phantom Menace–where Obi Wan was hanging on for dear life, he uses the force to jump back on deck, grab his lightsaber and slice Darth Maul in half. Oh that Obi Wan. What a guy! What a Jedi!
Yoda knocking out the two guards with the force as the he enters Emperor Palpatines office in ep 3.
I think it is funny when Luke uses the Force to make C3PO fly around so that the Ewoks will think he is a God and let them go. Or when Ben uses the Force to make a noise in the hallway so that the Stormtroopers will look the other way as he leaves the tractor beam controls. It’s the little ones that are the most fun!!
When Darth Vader kills the rebel after questioning him and says to tear the ship apart to find the stolen ‘battle station’ plans.
other scenes

Me and my friend John recalled the time the force was first used to its full potential in The Empire Strikes Back. Seeing the X-wing get lifted out of the swamp was as breathtaking as the Star Wars series permits.
May the Force be with y’all!
My favorite is when Luke is training and he has to block the flying ball thing with his lightsaber while blindfolded.
Return of the Jed: Luke escaping from Jabba the Hut prior to being fed to the Sarlacc.
Empire strikes back… Yoda and Luke… Classic!
favorite scene is from the new episodes where young anakin races on the cool ships
When Anakin used the force to drive the pod racer to win the race in Episode 1.
For sure, my fav scene is the scene where Vader strangles the commander guy who called the Force a “washed up religion.” Hows that for washed up, biyotch?
My favorite force moment is Yoda using the force against count dooku, (episode 2) get it yoda!
Ryan, thats the best you got. The best use of the force is obviously when Luke destroys the death star while abandoning all of his high tech electronics and instruments. Clearly a turning point in Luke’s carrer as a Jedi once he learns to trust the force that dwells within him.
You might be able to go a little further and correlate it to our own lives… but nothing is that simple… or complex?
Please Jon…everyone knows that was just a “lucky shot”
on a poor design by the Empire. Really, who allows an exhaust port direct access to the reactor?
Take off your Jedi cloak, put down book 13 of the Clone Wars and step outside every once in awhile.
It’s better to be lucky rather than good… at least for us “earthlings. We may never develop an understanding of the force, but that is why we are so intrigued and drawn by the gravity of the force. Like moths to a lamp.
We may only observe in awe of the force and hope that such Jedi’s like Luke and Queens like Leia protect us from the wrath of the Galactic Empire.
My favorite force moment is when Luke is captured by the Wampa in Empire Strikes Back and is hanging upside down in the cave and uses the force to retrieve his lightsaber to cut himself down, cut the Wampa and escape!
Dang! Brodiemash stole my answer. Don’t get me wrong. I’m absolutley loyal the original trilogy, but Darth Maul using the force on the door was coooollllll. AND the duel at the end of episode III was insane!! Does anyone re-enact it too?? Cuz I’m down SW larping.
I like it whenever Yoda uses the force. So small, yet so mighty.
“Use the Force, Luke” – Obi Wan Kenobi
Shame on everyone for including the blasphemous prequels as legitimate Star Wars movies. George Lucas obviously was not using the Force when he vomited those things out.
The Great Disturbance in the Force when Alderaan is destroyed, kinda like news traveling by Twitter only faster!
i love star wars i can see movie over and over.i was seven years old when i first seen the movie twenty some years later still a fan .
May the FORCE be with me. Thanks.
When Luke is aiming for the power source in the death star, Obi Wan tells Luke to, “Use the Force, Luke.” Luke is confused, but listens to Obi Wan and relies on the Force. He destroys the death star and begins the journey to finding his father.
I would love to see Star Wars in Concert!
When Obe One waved his hand in the bar to the dude next to him to chill out….not sure which movie…
or when Luke elevated his x wing figter with Yoda in Return of the Jedi
Empire Strikes Back: Yoda lifted the X-wing out of the swamp. “Judge me by my size do you? Well you should not, for my ally is the force and a powerful ally it is!”
when Darth Vader tell luke he is his father.
I love that my 5 year old son engages anyone in conversation that he thinks might like and know Star Wars as much as him.
I agree the little ones are the glue that holds all the uses of force together and makes light of having such a grand power. Good times
When Obiwan blindfolds Luke and forces him to use, “the force” to stop the electronic shocks from the little flying training sphere. Very cool and funny.
My son is a Star Wars fanatic and his three year old daughter can tell you just about any part of any of the story lines in Episodes I, II, & III. It’s a kick!
Thanks everybody for commenting, but I just wanted to make sure everybody knows that this contest is OVER. I realize you saw a link to it in a newsletter, but we’ve already picked the winner. We will have future Star Wars in Concert contests on fresnobeehive.com, but they’ll be separate from this one. Keep your eyes open for that.
Thanks
Mike
Yoda in his house being calm, peaceful and confident. What greater force than that?
I loved it when Leah used the force for the first time to know Luke was okay. That was cool!
And…when Obi Wan told the storm troopers, “these are not the droids you are looking for.” That was so cool…wish I had the force!
Yoda – says “Do or do not. There is no try”.
When Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leah are in the garbage compacter and the walls start closing in….
My 7 year old son Skyler says his favorite scene using the force is…When Master Yoda uses the force to pick up Anakin Skywalker’s Ship so Anakin can fly away…in Episode 5, Attack of the Clone.
Thanks for the GREAT CONTEST!!!
When Luke is hanging in the ICE cave, and the monster is approaching for dinner. “Use the force!”
as he struggles for the lightsaber and swish, he’s free and safe.
My favorite force moment is when Luke is preparing to destroy the Death Star and hits his target.
Luke: Your overconfidence is your weakness.
The Emperor: Your faith in your friends is yours.
Star Wars in concert would be a really cool birthday gift, especially being laid off I would probably end up spending my birthday at home.
I would love to get tickets for this! It looks like an awesome show!
I beleive my family would love to see the show they are big fans of the star wars saga.
when Luke is being held by the Wampa as a future midnight snack and he uses the force to pull his light saber out of the snow so he can escape.
episode1 when obi-wan got quigons lightsaver and cut off darth mauls legs
Having a good travel insurance coverage can make the adaptation among weeks of fear and peace of thoughts a few refund.
