While you countdown to the “24″ premiere …
1. WISH AUDIE A HAPPY B-DAY
Over at Audie’s Olympic, it’s owner Audie’s birthday, but he’s got a present for Fresno music lovers. His two-night Audiepalooza is jam-packed with talent. Tonight is rockabilly/Americana night, while Saturday is straight up rock.
2. CATCH A BULLET
You’ll notice that this weekend is particularly filled with rock. Another big show is hard rockers Mercury Bullet taking over Starline tonight. They’re one of those signed-to-a-label-but-still-in-Fresno bands, so props to them for that.
3. SEE THE BUILDERS
Get your indie music fix tonight in Visalia, as Portland band The Builders and The Butchers make a tour stop at The Cellar Door. Get this: The band’s singer is a marine biologist by day, and he moonlights fronting this adventurous folk/pop band. Merced’s like-minded El Olio Wolof shares the bill. Oughta be a good one. 9:30 p.m. $5. 21+
4. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL BELLYDANCER
If you enjoyed hanging out at Full Circle Brewing Co. last week for the Beehive Birthday Bash, considering heading back on Saturday night. California Arts Academy is having its bellydance recital. That’s something a little different, no?
