Check out The Bee’s new entertainment site

Hey Beehive readers, we’re happy to announce a new Web offering from The Bee. It’s our new arts & entertainment site. We’re calling it 7, just like our printed Friday entertainment section.

Basically, it’s the place to find all the local entertainment content you see in print — with audio, video and Beehive posts mixed in.

Click over to the site, or check out the screenshot below:

Among the cool new features on the site:

  • Slick new design with better organization and nicer display for local entertainment news.
  • We gave it more of a homepage feel, rather than just an automated list of headlines. It’ll be updated daily to give the timely stories more prominent placement.
  • Our movies section is now much for helpful for making decisions — you can watch trailers and see local movie times (See an example here).
  • There’s better integration of audio and video. For example: If you go to the music page, there’s a lot of local music you can stream.

Check out the site at fresnobee.com/seven — and bookmark it while you’re there.

Love it. For the movie section, in addition to the synopsis for each movie (great idea), can you also add the movie theaters & showtimes like you have in print? That would make it even better.

Jennifer says:

BJ: We’re trying to make sure the movie theater and showtimes are on every movie review we produce. They should appear at the bottom of the review if we have the information available. Let me know when we miss one and we’ll get them posted. Fastest way is to email me at jward@fresnobee.com
