TCA Winter Tour: Chris Harrison, host of “The Bachelor” says that Lindzi Cox, the former California State University, Fresno, equestrian rider, has established herself as one of the front runners among this year’s group of contenders for the heart of Ben Flajnik on this season of the ABC reality show. She broke out of the crowd with her first appearance when instead of a limo, she arrived on horseback.
“It was her idea to arrive on a horse,” Harrison says. “She contacted a friend of hers in Los Angeles and borrowed the horse. I got to work that day and there was a horse in my parking spot.”
Harrison’s been hosting “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” long enough to know that such stunts can backfire. But, he says Cox is one of the favorites among the 13 women left in the running.
As for Fresno’s other big connection to the competition series, Harrison is still amazed how Clovis native Kasey Kahl went from a joke as the man who got a tattoo on his wrist and was left on an iceberg on “The Bachelorette” to one of the big players in “Bachelor Pad.”
