Entertainment this weekend

jpg This weekend’s entertainment lineup is topped by a TV show that is scary good.

“The Walking Dead,” 10 p.m. Sunday, AMC: This is the last of the first six episodes of the superb new series based on the comic book by Robert Kirkman. It’s the story of a group of survivors of a zombie apocalypse looking for a safe place to live. Don’t let the gore stop you from watching this marvelous series.

“Tangled”: Rapunzel (voiced by Mandy Moore) discovers she doesn’t need a hero to save her in this 50th animated offering from Disney. Directors Nathan Greno and Byron Howard’s computer-animated tale of Rapunzel uses elements that have made for great Disney animated films of the past: interesting characters, a great villain and a good score.

“The Twilight Saga: Eclipse”: Bella finds herself in the middle of a vampire war and the struggle between the two men who love her. The heightened tension of the love story and some killer fight sequences make this the best film so far in the series.
