Fresno, beauty obsessed. Really?
So InStyle Magazine posted one of those “top city” lists, this one on the most beauty-obsessed cities. Fresno ranked No. 1, beating out New York, San Francisco and Las Vegas.
Here’s what the InStyle post says:
We asked the brainiacs at FourSquare to tally the data from its 15 million users to find out which cities users are checking into most for beauty stores like Ulta, Sephora, and more. And, according to the free mobile app, the most beauty-obsessed city with over 300,000 check-ins is Fresno, CA, which is home to five beauty schools, as well as multiple beauty retailers.
So is Fresno really that vain? Does counting how often people “check in” at store that sales beauty products really determine obsession? I think Fresno may just have a lot of FourSquare users who like free samples of makeup and perfume.
Responses to "Fresno, beauty obsessed. Really?"
This report really goes to show Fresnans love being the Mayor of Sephora on FourSquare. Or, it shows we have some really ugly people that need tons of make-up.
seems like we also have a lot of cosmetic surgeons, aestheticians, and such.
Look at the bright side – This is better than the “Car Theft, Meth, and DUI Capitol of the US” stigma, and it only applies to the yuppie Riverpark Fresno crowd
latinas always need to look good ya herd meh?
Speaking of beauty obsession,
Tech N9ne is finally getting me to go stand around at Club Rome for the first time evuur. Never had a reason to go b4.
Wish me luck but I seriously doubt thats obsession.
