The Beehive Asks: What summer movies are you looking forward to seeing?

The summer movie season — generally filled with movies featuring big action, big stars and big fun — kicks off Friday with “Iron Man 2.”

What movie can’t you wait to see?

For me, It’s “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” in June. I know that might not surprise a lot of people because I’ve made my love of “Twilight” known. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of movie 2 (I only saw it once and I haven’t even bought the DVD yet). It kind of turned me off to the movie franchise. But the last trailer for “Eclipse” got me jazzed about the series again.

A lot of friends tell me they can’t wait to see “Iron Man 2.” I think the trailers look fun, but I won’t be rushing out this weekend to see the flick. A few lucky Beehive readers got to see the movie last night at a special screening. Movie critic Rick Bentley also attended. He filed his review this morning (it will be posted tomorrow). A hint: it’s positive.

I might be interested in “Prince of Persia,” though I have no clue about the video game. I like fantasy. What I’m not into this summer is the 1980s remakes. They just don’t seem that interesting. I have a feeling, though, my husband will drag me to see “The A-Team.” It was one of his favorite shows.

Michael says:

Honestly besides Iron Man 2, Toy Story 3 and maybe Shrek 4, this seems a weak summer for movies. I can’t think of any besides those 3 that I want to see.

I’m mostly looking forward to Eclipse. Yea, I’m one of those people. But one of our family favorite movies is Toy Story so all of us at home are really looking forward to Toy Story 3!

Pam says:

Sex and the City 2
Iron Man 2
Living in Emergency – Doctors without Borders

My list is kinda weird but here they are…
