Frog Balls, anyone?
I ran across this sign at Birdstone Winery Sunday during my tour of the Madera Wine Trail’s “Wine & Chocolate Weekend.”
I had no idea what this was — only that it referred to some kind of food. I even noticed a lady grabbing a jar of the little green balls at another winery. Still, I didn’t investigate (I didn’t want to ruin my wine and chocolate buzz, after all) until today, when the Beehive’s own Top Foodie Joan was stumped.
So, I Googled, and I found this photo. Alas, I know the story behind “Frog Balls.”
I think I’ll pass.

These things are awesome, always pick up a jar at casa de fruta when coming back from a trip to the coast.\
pickled brussell sprouts, marinated with spices…you can get them spicy, which i do!
Drunk tykes from Belgium? Bizzare.
