Mississippi rock band 3 Doors Down just announced new dates for its “Songs from the Basement Tour,” which kicks off Jan. 10 in Reno. The tour will include a Central Valley Stop. The band plays Jan. 15 at the Visalia Fox Theatre.
For this outing, the band — best known for the 2000 hit “Kryptonite” — will play acoustic versions of its catalog of music.
“We experimented with an acoustic show in Nashville and had such a great response that we decided to take it on the road,” says singer Brad Arnold. “We’ve never toured like this before, some of these songs have never been played live.”
Tickets for the Visalia show go on sale 10 a.m. Friday and cost $30-$60. They will be available at theater box office, (559) 625-FOX, or online at www.ticketfly.com. It also looks like a limited number of special VIP on-stage seating will be available starting tomorrow.
3 Doors Down has sold more than 16 million albums, have had three Grammy nominations, won two American Music Awards and five BMI Pop Awards for songwriting, including “Songwriter of the Year.” Last year the band released a greatest hits collection, which featured three new songs, including “One Light.” Follow this link to see the official video for the song.
