Win tickets to Paramore

The last time Fresno fans saw Paramore, it was as the opening act for No Doubt. When the band returns to the Save Mart Center on Tuesday, it will be on its own headlining tour, with a chart-topping album (“Paramore”) and hit single (“Still Into You).

The show should be solid throughout. Opening acts Metric and Hellogoodbye have some strong buzz these days.

We have a pair of tickets, we’ll give away to one lucky Beehiver.

To enter, just leave a comment on this post. We want to know your favorite Paramore song and why. The deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Monday. Winners will be chosen by random. One comment per person, please. I’ll be informing winners via email, so check yours.

Rules are on the jump.

Recipients will be notified by e-mail at the end of each giveaway period. No substitutions or transfer of winners/prizes. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Some prizes may have due dates for redemption/use. Employees and immediate family of The Fresno Bee, and any/all of the participating giveaway sponsors, are not eligible to win. Annette Regalado says:

I have always been a fan of Paramore since the very beginning. I instantly fell in love with their music. I was completely devastated when I learned I couldn’t see them the first time they came to Fresno. My favorite song from Paremore is Decode and Still into You. Decode because it was written for Twlight and I loved thoes books. And it had so much emotion. Still into You because it completely decribes my relationship with my boyfriend. I can relate to these lyrics. I’ve been with him since I was 15. I am now 21 and the best years of my life have been with him.

Chad says:

Lisa says:

Andrew Feil says:

Definitely, “That’s What You Get”… this song epitomizes what they are… Pop. So good and so poppy.

Erica says:

I love Paramore’s song “The Only Exception” because of the meaning of the song of having your guard up after a bad experience and that love does still exist when we finally meet “the one” we are meant to be with. I hope i win!

Rick says:

“Brick by boring brick” due to the fact that I find bricks extremely captivating, and I was astonished someone would write such a song. Turns out, its a pretty good one. I like blonde hair in the video too.

Selina Falcon says:

My favorite song since I heard it has been “Playing God” off their brand new eyes album. It reminded me of All We Know Is Falling and RIOT! and I just really enjoyed it.
However, recently, one of their interludes “Holiday” has been on repeat for quite a while.
Really hope I win these tickets! I’ve been a fan for so long and would love to see them live.

Kris says:

Favorite song is definately The Only Exception…it hit home the second I heard it and I always think of my first love when I hear it….it’s been almost 30 years and I still think about him day :). Misery Business is freAkin awesome too! Thank you!!!!

I’ve always related to Paramore songs. But the one I most identify with at the moment is Still Into You because of the relationship I am in. It only gets better as the days go by.

Jenni Eden says:

it’s hard to pick my favorite Paramore song because I have all the albums and I’m into all of the songs. I suppose I’ll go with the song stuck in my head the most recently, which is Ain’t it Fun. I love when a full-on choir joins in repeating the chorus and the refrain. Gets me belting along every time. If I win I will have to try not to die from excitement so that I can actually attend the concert!

Lisa says:

I like the Only exception. It has a rally nice sound and. Like the lyrics.
They play the day before my birthday. Would love to go as a night out.

lisa v says:

my favorite song is, has always been, and will forever be Emergency.

stephen abbas says:

My favorite, is “heart win”. Thats what you get when you let your heart win,

Krista says:

The song is called “that’s what you get” not “heart win” sorry it was bugging me..

Rachael says:

For me, it is impossible to pick a favorite Paramore song. Limiting the song down to lyrics, I’m still torn; but there is so much more to their music. Their music expresses so many emotions that I’m not always limited to the same song when I feel happy or sad. Paramore, your music is everyone’s diary put on the radio, and we like it because we are not alone. Songs I listen to the most, again I’m torn, between Monster, Playing God, Misguided ghosts, Hello Cold World, Turn it Off,… Did I mention ALL of their songs!

Eileen says:

I really still into you. I would like to see them live in concert. First saw them when they opened for no doubt.

Ericka Purnell says:

I was introduced to Paramore by my old roommate who helped me get through my divorce with the song Ignorance. Ever since then, I’ve been a big fan.

Kaura lopez says:

I’ve been a paramore fan since the start. I couldn’t go to the last concert because of’s hard to pick a favorite song there’s so many from their CDs and songs that are only on YouTube, but I’d have to say the song “Last Hope” from their new CD.. My uncle passed away a year ago and him and I were very close, he was my best friend.. When I first heard this song he was who I thought the song it says “I don’t even know myself at all
I thought I would be happy by now The more I try to push it I realize– gotta let go of control” was right on about how I was feeling. This song helped me realize that it’s okay to cry and let it out because there will always be a spark.. That thing that kept me going was the good memories I have of him, all the fun playing basketball and teasing each other, and watching football.. Like the song says “it’s just a spark but it’s enough to keep me going and when it’s dark out , no ones around, it keeps glowing “.. I’m no longer afraid to be in pain.. This song was and is the best song they ever wrote, it’s not just a song to me anymore, but a way for me to still connect with my Tio..

Lisa says:

I would love to see them! I really like “brick by boring brick” as a song. Really interesting sound.

Gina Sandoval says:

The only exception!

Michael says:

Emergency has always been my favorite.

Jesica says:

I just love paramore in general because all of their songs are so relatable and brilliant and have got me through hard times and made me feel good about myself when I have been put down. It would be a dream if I got to see the band that has inspired and helped me get through tough times. It’s really hard for me to pick one favorite song cause they are all so meaningful to me but right now I would say still in to you because it’s adorable and a fun song I just feel like eating sweet candy when I listen to it ♡.♡

Rebecca Castillo says:
