Starting Monday, Visalia-based Momentum Broadcasting will change its radio station, KJUG (AM, 1270), from a Classic Country format to Living Water Radio. The new format offers inspirational and religious programming.
Program director Adam Jeffries says, “We are looking forward to serving the interests of the religious community in the Visalia-Porterville-Tulare-Hanford area, with quality inspirational programming from the very best national speakers, and local community congregations.”
The change puts the station in competition with at least three radio stations in the area with similar formats: KQKL (FM, 88.5), KDUV (FM, 88.9) and KARM (FM, 89.7). The difference is those radio stations broadcast in FM and KJUG’s signal is on AM.
Momentum Broadcasting, a privately held radio company, also owns country music station KJUG (FM, 106.7), hit music station KCRZ, (FM, 104.9) and classic rock KIOO (FM, 99.7).
