Update: Looks like there won’t be any beer at this event after all. Some issues with a temporary beer license have come up, though all the food vendors will still be there and there will most likely be beer at future events.
Partying in the garden is becoming a regular Fresno thing. Gazebo Gardens Nursery is gearing up to host its third garden party this Saturday with food trucks, local beer and music in among the plants. The nursery will soon announce regular, twice-monthly dates for the garden party.
Local ice pop maker Ooh De Lolli is organizing this one and will be selling her ice pops (hello, strawberry cheesecake ice pop!) at the event. Most of the regular food trucks will be there too, including Casa de Tamales, Dusty Buns, Benaddiction, Mattie’s Mobile Wood Fired Pizza and Summertime Pies. The event is also a fundraiser for Children’s Musical Theaterworks, with volunteers from the organization selling Tioga Sequoia beer (and yes, I’ve been assured that adults, not singing children, will be selling the beer).
Ska band Pocket Money will be playing and the gift shop will be open. Visitors are encouraged to bring chairs or a blanket. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. Gazebo Gardens is at 3204 N. Van Ness Blvd. You can get more details here.
