Here is a show that is sure to bring joy to even the darkest-hearted goth fans.
The seminal deathrock/goth band Christian Death plays Fulton 55, Oct. 11, as part of its “American Inquisition Tour 2013.” The bill also includes locals One Last Caress, Alexandria Burning, The Lifeless Night and a reunited (at least for this show it seems) The Shroud. Tickets are $15 and on sale now.
Christian Death is one of those bands that has been around forever and had a million different lineup changes. The current incarnation of the band features Valor Kand and Maitri. For those unfamiliar with the band, this quote from VH1 is a gem:
“Christian Death take a relentlessly confrontational stand against organized religion and conventional morality, with an appetite for provocation that makes Marilyn Manson look like Stryper.”
Check out “Romeo’s Distress,” from 1982 (sort of NSFW).
