You review: The Paradise tour w/Ryan Beatty

UPDATE: There is now a picture gallery up at The Fresno Bee.

GMK BEATTYORIGINAL POST (June 19): When it was announced that Ryan Beatty would be joining Cody Simpson on his “Paradise Tour,” it was big news because A.) it was another step in Beatty’ bid for true pop-stardom and B.) the tour would be stopping through Fresno.

It would be the first time the 17-year old Clovis native has played in town since his performance at the Big Fresno Fair last October.

Now, that the show is over, I have to say the pictures of his stage show look awesome. What did you think?

Ryan was incredible, as usual. I’ve seen him 3 times before (every time he’s played in Fresno) and each time he has gotten more and more comfortable onstage and is getting better at working a crowd. He covered Lego House by Ed Sheeran and Suit & Tie by Justin Timberlake, played a few new songs, and some old favorites. Compared to Cody’s set, Ryan’s was more chilled out, whilst Cody’s was more of a performance with videos playing behind him, dance numbers, and lots of bright lights. Both sounded amazing though, actually having the ability to sing well live. It’s cool to see Ryan grow as an artist and a person and he makes me proud to call myself a fan.
