OPEN THREAD: Valentine's Day 2009
So, ummm, it's Valentine's Day tomorrow. Thankfully, The Warfield, Goldenvoice and KMEL had enough forward-thought to know that my wife looooooves both Robin Thicke and San Francisco, and were able to make happen a Robin Thicke concert in San Francisco. So I'm set. But what about you?
I hope nobody was planning to go to Pangea for dinner. Feel free to talk about your V-Day plans/suggestions -- or, conversely, your V-Day horror stories. Or you can cuss out cupid, rant about Hallmark holidays, write a haiku -- whatever's on your mind on this Valentine's Eve.
And just because I know my wife digs it -- and some of you other ladies might too -- here's the latest Robin Thicke video.

Comments:
I'll be working for V-Day. It doesn't suck though because my boyfriend and I are jointly boycotting Valentine's Day. We know how we feel about one another and we express that every day. We don't need to market or shout out our love for one another. So we'll be hanging out exactly where we met... me working and him hanging with friends... that is kinda romantic in a way though. :)

I take my daughter out to dinner every year because she's my forever Valentine! awwwwww!
Then I get to do grown-up stuff with my boyfriend.
I don't know what he's got planned because he won't tell me but I know it's gonna be good because he's been planning it all week and refuses to drop hints only that it's super romantic, will be my best valentine's day ever and I will never forget it.
Sooooo, that's how my night's gonna go!

Well Chris got me an iPhone as my gift and today we are going to get a Wii that will be his present. I'm also going to get a few games for myself because I can. We also need a new router so that is on the list. For tomorrow we might go out for breakfast, I have a bit of work around 1 or 2, and then we will probably just stay in and have a nice dinner followed by me schooling him on Wii Sports (although I am sure that if given the chance he would say that he would be the one winning).

Every year the huz-b makes me chicken divan for dinner. I LOVE it but it's loaded with enough fat and calories to induce an instant coronary event so I only eat it once a year. And, I'm happy to let him cook. Then we exchange silly cards. Did I mention the chicken divan? Mmmmmmmmmmm.

No plans... thanks to the war in Iraq. :(

crap, kind of makes me wish I was that Chris... ;) Nah, just kidding, I like my girl, I think I will keep her.
I'm not sure what we are doing yet, I'm certainly not the guy to make plans, more spur-of-the-moment, but I'm sure we will do something fun. I might cook for her, I hardly cook at all, so that would be a nice change from going out to eat something or grabbing something from the Fresno Market.

I HAD plans but thanks to emergency oral surgery in about an hour and half, it looks like my weekend is ruined. I expect TV, Vicoden, and runny mashed potatos. Yippee.

I'll be at the Babylon trying to figure out how to rig the raffle to win that vacation...

***WARNING***contains geeky material***
There's lots going on this weekend, scary movies, Aesop Fables...
But personally I'm planning on watchig Joss Wheaton's new show Dollhouse.
I'm a HUGE fan. I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, and Serenity fan. I Absolutely love everything Joss Wheaton does (even Toy Story.)
I could go on and on about how Joss Wheaton started this idea of female robots. (It goes back to Buffy) But I would only prove how much of a geek I am (if I haven't done so already)

THE most romantic song EVER is Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. My granddaughter, who is 13, says that will be the song played at her wedding in some future year. That is awesome. If you don't agree, listen to the words.......
