Fashion Week kicked off today in New York City, including a The Heart Truth Red Dress show, where celebrity models took over the runway. (Tomorrow, Barbie takes center stage, to honor her 50th birthday ... damn, I hope I look that good at 50!)
The spotlight was also on Mrs. Obama's inauguration night fave: Jason Wu. I wonder which of these dresses might catch the first lady's eye?

When I can't get up in the morning, and I'm daydreaming about living a completely different life, I'm usually daydreaming about wearing that purple dress (or some such variation my brain has come up). Awesome.

i love the jason wu offerings! looking through fashion shows is fun for the outlandishness or unrealism of it, but these are dresses i wish i had the chance to don. max azria had all his models in super-metallic leggings and put dull gray crepe-y dresses on top. i like the max azria brands, but what was on the runway was so unflattering.
