Yay! I love FCB. Don and Bill and everyone there are always so nice and friendly. It's a comfortable place to stop in and hang out for a while.
And that super-dark beer... Russian-something-something... believe it or not, it's GREAT in a cup with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. No. I'm not kidding. You get this awesome chocolatey aftertaste. It might be an acquired taste, but it's good. No. I'm serious. Go get a growler and take it home to try it out. And if you don't like it with the ice cream, you've only wasted a little cup's worth, and you still have some yummy beer in a big jug, yah?
And now for shameless self-promotion:
That burlesque thing they mentioned... yeah. You can see my alter ego in the little flier on the wall over Don's shoulder there. Patronize that burlesque stuff going on down at FCB. In FACT... during the Rogue Festival, check out THREE burlesque shows from the Valley Burlesque Society. 2/27 at 10pm, 3/5 at 10pm and 3/6 at 8:30pm. ONLY $7 per show (amazing bargain) There are 3 other acts also sharing the space over those two weekends: The fabulous live music of Merlinda Espinosa, Body Rock Circus from 2hip Productions with an exciting merging of body art and performance, and The Oddly Shaped Comedy Show featuring a collection of 6 short plays to tickle your funny bone.
Seriously, you could spend an entire evening at FCB having a pint and watching a wondrous variety of entertainment. (And keep your ear to the ground for info on how to get discounted tickets for all 3 shows in one night for $15. There will be fliers and announcements. Yea, fear not... I WILL be shilling for my peeps.)
But don't wait until then to check out the brewery. Celtic rock band TEMPEST will be in town on 1/31. There are also many other things going on down at Full Circle. They have a calendar at FullCircleBrewing.com . No, I'm not a spokesperson for the brewery. I just want you to come see MY shows, I really like most, if not all, of the entertainment down there, and think you will too... and... well... I like beer.
