Now that the news has been released that "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is in town, there is one big question that keeps getting asked: "When can I see Ty Pennington?"

There's no question Pennington is the emotional spark of the show. And that has made him very popular.

Don't tell anyone I told you this, but here are a few tips as to how you might catch a glimpse of Pennington. Remember, you didn't hear this from me.

The "Extreme" process starts Thursday when the local family gets notified. Pennington will be on hand for that moment. But, the notification is not open to spectators. Sorry. Neither are the Friday and Saturday dates. Saturday makes sense. That's when the current structure will be leveled. Wouldn't want anyone to get hit with a piece of flying brick while star gazing.

Spectators are welcome Sunday through Jan. 16. I can't tell you at this point the location. That's a guarded secret.

I can tell you not to expect to see Pennington on Sunday or Monday. The way "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" works is there are two homes being built at almost the same time. The location of the other build has not been released. All I know is that it is not in California.

So, Pennington will be in Fresno through the demolition date. Then he will jump on an airplane and travel to the other location. He will spend a couple of days getting that project started and then return to Fresno for the finish here.

You are guaranteed Pennington will be here Jan. 15. He has to be here to shout "Move that bus!" But, there are plenty of other designers and builders on the show who will be in town.

So head on out and have fun. One last tip. You won't be able to drive to the location. All of the streets will be blocked. Be prepared to park at a designated area and being shuttled into the location.
