arrow Please, NPH, never, ever do 'SNL' again. Ever.

Into our lives a little NPH must fall, and last night he fell with a giant thud onto the stage of "Saturday Night Live," The Worst Show on Television™.

Don't get me wrong, Neil Patrick "Two First Names" Harris was his usual awesome self, it was everything around him that sucked. Terribly unfunny sketches nearly quelled the glowing ball of humor and light that is NPH; luckily he has the amazing ability to rise above weak and inconsistent material (see: "How I Met Your Mother").

However, I am pleading, pleading with NPH to forevermore stay far, far away from the festering tower of suck that is "SNL" -- seriously, the Worst Show on Television™ (and I'm including "Kath and Kim" here) -- for fear that next time he is not so lucky.

Here is NPH's opening monologue, the only part of the show worth watching:

Come on Heather, the Broadway skit was funny.

I don't know about funny. It was mildly amusing, but it never made me laugh out loud.

I found the sketch with the fingernails ladies mildly amusing, in a "WTF?" kind of way, but that's only because NPH in drag is mesmerizing.

Oddest thing about the show Saturday night...how (strangely) good NPH looked with a 70's era David Frost wig. Weird.

i disagree hmac. i am currently watching a recorded version of the show and have enjoyed most of it. didn't really care for the doogie howser theme song, until he shed a tear.

several good parts to the weekend update. had me laughing loud. especially will forte's song about the bcs and keenan as charles barkley.

thought the broadway sketch had funny in it, but the ending sorta fell off.

the today show bit was good. especially loved kristen wigg's facial expessions.

and that monologue was great, especially the marky mark tie in.

i did skip both of the taylor swift songs.

but holy shiiiiite, the whopper virgins was hilarious.

This show has ran its course, it's time for the ship to be taken home and parked! Wait... strike that last statement. This show revels American Idol in the fact that SNL is looking for talent too!

Hmmm... I wonder if...
