Perhaps you noticed that Music and More man Mike Osegueda is absent from the Beehive this week; this of course means no "Five Things You Should Do This Week" and "Post No Bills" posts. So how's a person to know what's going on in Fresno this week?

I got tix for My Bloody Valentine 3d...i'm going. 3d effects bring me back to the 80's..i can't wait!
on saturday night ..we ...the patrick contreras band are playing at The Cellar Door in Visalia on Saturday night.
also on the bill flamenco group ibice and salsa group kemaya.
honestly i'm not sure what else is going on...off the top of my head.i think funk soul cover band soular power is playing at the starline...there's a d4d thing going on a zapp's park.

We'll be on our second 2-day recording session... working on our highly anticipated full-length CD. Only four or five full weekend sessions left... please God. Then Joey is taking us all out to dinner... YAY!!

Two theater openings this weekend, Heather. I'll be at "Footloose" at Roger Rocka's on Thursday night -- no Kevin Bacon jokes, please -- and "Rabbit Hole" at Severance on Friday.

HOW COULD I FORGET!!!!
V-Town Derby Dames from Visalia will be holding their very first bout against Central Coast at 7pm on Saturday at Roller Towne in Visalia. They were supposed to bout Fresno Valley Fever but they backed out at the last minute.
The Clarifier from SCRG will be skating along side Vtown and I believe a couple of girls from NoTown will be skating too.
Come support your local girls and south valley's newest derby phenomenon!!!!

Thanks for the shout out, Patrick, but we (Soular Power) will actually be playing NEXT Saturday at the Starline (the 24th).
As for me, I'm thinking an early stop to check out Midnight Run on the north side (Palm/Nees) and get my Journey fix, then maybe down to Audies to check out the fem-Sabbath tribute. Yeah, its a night of cover bands for me...
