arrow "Grey's Anatomy" losing another cast member

Can the mess that's called "Grey's Anatomy" get any worse this season?

Entertainment Weekly says a new actress on the show, Melissa George, is leaving. Who? Didn't she just start? Oh, she's the one who plays an old friend of Meredith. Though George is saying all the rights things (it was her choice, loves the show, etc.), her departure is just more proof that GA is grasping to cure what ails it.

First, the continuing story of Izzie and the dead Denny is irritating and screams for an exorcism (or whatever it is you do to get rid of ghosts). And what about the stupid episode in which the interns performed surgical procedures on each other?

T.R. Knight reportedly wants out of his contract because his role as George has shrunk to practically a walk-on part (though, let's face it, he was never that interesting) and probably because he knows this show is flatlining. And let's not forget the unceremonious dumping of Brooke Smith, whose lesbian character last was seen walking to her car ... and apparently drove straight out of Seattle because we never saw her again.

Well, George's character, Sadie, was unsympathetic. In fact, many of the characters now are so self-involved and whiny, it's a wonder any medical work gets done. It all points to GA's need for a total heart transplant.

Comments:

I just rewatched season 2 -- the best GA season -- and the sh*tty mess the show has become is even affecting how I watch previous episodes.

Specifically, it's tough to get choked up watching Denny die knowing he'll be back as a damn ghost three seasons later.

Yeah, the show jumped the shark a long time back. The blood and gore drove me away even before that happened.
