arrow Five Things You Should Do This Weekend ...

OK, maybe there are six things this time ...

1. BASK IN THE GLORY OF SLEEPOVER DISASTER: The Sleepover boys are having two -- count 'em, dos --shows this weekend to celebrate the release of their new CD. Tonight you can catch them at Kuppajoe.

1a. SWEET AND TENDER SLEEPOVER: Part Two of Sleepover Disaster weekend in Fresno pairs the shoegazers up with Smiths/Morrissey tribute band Sweet & Tender Hooligans, who have a knack for selling out shows. That's at Club Fred.

2. HUNGRY FOR MUSIC? Lots of good music on the bill for the Food Not Bombs show tonight at Full Circle Brewing Co. Blake Jones & The Trike Shop, Scats on the Sly and Ibice are performing. Take note: It's an early start, 6 p.m.

3. DO THE TWIST: Twist Ultralounge is celebrating its first anniversary on Saturday night. Good to see Twist has something to celebrate while its crosstown ultralounge counterpart, 2039, is barely hanging on to its respectability.

4. MORE ANNIVERSARIES: D4D Entertainment is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a big rock show tonight at Starline. They've recently partnered up with No Town Roller Derby, so the derby girls will be out there too.

5. SPACED OUT: If you're looking for some cool jazz, peep Espacio on Saturday night at Full Circle Brewing Co. The band features some big local names like Eva Scow and Kevin Hill. And the flier is pretty sweet too.

Thank you Mr. Oz for posting the Food Not Bombs flyer here and giving it ink in "7".
It was a great party--well-attended and a possitive time all around.
Much appreciation the beehive and bee and the all of you who are pulling for the local scene.
