arrow "30 Rock," "The Office" will be back next year

EMMY_Awards_Photo_Room.JPGNBC took the stage today at the Television Critics Association meetings. The winter look at network and cable shows wraps up Friday. Here's a quick look at what the network had to say about upcoming programming.

There is good news for "30 Rock" and "The Office" fans. Both have been renewed for an additional year. "The Biggest Loser" will also be back next year. Network executives say they are behind "Heroes." But the series had better get back on course when it returns later this year. And officially "Lipstick Jungle" has not been canceled. It just looks like it has.

An additional three episodes of "ER" have been ordered. That means the long-running drama will come to an end with a two-hour finale on April 9. When "ER" executive producer John Wells was asked if George Clooney would make an appearance before the last show, he said he had no idea. But, added Wells, because Clooney loves practical jokes, anything could happen.

The best move by NBC is a deal made with Don Cheadle. His production company will produce some potential shows for NBC. Cheadle is one of the most talented actors working today. The simple fact his fingerprints will be on a new show will elevate it in quality.

Don't forget. Friday is the day props go on the auction block for the cable series "Battlestar Galactica." There are thousands of items being sold. Proceeds from several props will go to selected charities.

You don't have to be in Pasadena Friday and Saturday to place a bid. Just go to www.auctionnetwork.com.

Make sure your bank account is in good shape. The anticipated bid for even the smallest item is expected to be a couple of hundred dollars. And if you would like to have one of the red dresses Tricia Helfer wore as the Cylon Number Six, that dress is going to set you back more than $10,000.
