Beehive B-Day Announcement #3 -- Blake Jones & The Trike Shop
We're announcing another performer for this Friday's Beehive B-Day Party -- Blake Jones & The Trike Shop.
You've seen Blake commenting about music and all kinds of stuff here at The Beehive, now you can see him, his theremin and his band perform live.
The Trike Shop's pop stylings are fun and catchy, without all the over-polished production you get with today's pop singers. You'll go back to an era of harmony and melody that we don't hear enough of anymore. Blake & Co join virtuoso violinist Patrick Contreras and his band on our musical lineup.
Watch for news on the party every day this week on The Beehive.

What time is this shin-dig kicking off?

Good question.
8 p.m.
And it's free!
Posted by: Mike Oz at December 1, 2008 4:04 PM
can I go?
Posted by: dave at December 1, 2008 4:41 PM
FREE??? I'll be there.
Now if we can just get Audie to throw in some FREE Corona that would be double awesome!
Posted by: MsJoey at December 1, 2008 4:50 PM
Heh. Corona is so bad it ought to be free.

I so can't wait for this, first off cause both Patrick and Blake kick some major ass and it's always nice to see them again. Two, and I've met most of the people who blog on here in one way or another, but it'll be cool to meet some of the others.
Question is though, how will we know who each other is? Me, I'll be the guy trying to buy both Joey and HMac drinks all night to bribe them into being in Swede Girls.

I'll probably go the less expensive route and just introduce myself as Beehive commenter adam.

Blake Jones & the Trike Shop? Oh those boys are swell!
I can't wait to hear 'em!
Posted by: blake at December 1, 2008 8:19 PM
Oh, I'll be there (and what's wrong with Corona? I like Corona). Somebody should bring name tags so everyone can write their sign-on names on them.
Posted by: Bethany Clough at December 2, 2008 9:24 AM
@Bethany: I like that idea, though I wonder if any name tags will say "Hmac troll"?
And yeah what's wrong with Corona? Now PBR, that stuff is bad.
Posted by: Michael at December 2, 2008 10:00 AM
Name tags would be great. 90% of the HMAC posters nametags would be misspelled, and would include 'HMac is a hat8er' on the bottom.
Donald's commentor tags would all be variations on 'anonymous.'
Will's commentor tags would be worn on bare chests, in Will's honor.
And HMac might as well just hand out restraining orders at the door (that might be just for me).
Speaking of HMac, I hope Club Fred put in a triple order of Absolute. Also, I hope they give HMac the pool table, cuz with all her suitors buying her drinks she'll need a lot of room to line them all up.

There's nothing wrong with Corona if you like it. I think it tastes like raingutter water, but that's just me.
