Barack and the pap
I don't want to raise any alarms here, but should the paparazzi -- or anyone, for that matter -- be able to get this close to the president elect when he's on vacation?
Unrelated: Yowza. Good for you, Michelle.
Beehive Backstory: So, as sometimes happens on the Beehive, two bloggers posted simultaneously about Barack's topless shot: me and Will Albritton. I got to keep my post, and Will graciously offered much more information on the topic:
I don't understand what the fuss is about -- AP got this shot back in August:
If you want more photos of Obama, Time has just released a series that a fellow student of Obama's shot while they were in college.
And for more toplessness, The Huffington Post has a gallery of other presidents without their shirts on. Enjoy. Or not, as the Reagan case may be.

The president elect would be ridiculed if he were a republican: for non dressing.

jkeyes,
really? do you think people would ridicule a republican president for not wearing a shirt at the beach? i don't recall anyone making fun of bush for wearing cycling gear while he was peddling around his ranch or with lance armstrong. maybe i've just got selective memory.
i do remember people joking about bill clinton quite a lot when he was out jogging away the pounds in a sweat suit. let's see...what party was clinton...i just can't seem to remember. oh, that's right, he was a democrat.
