New Harry Potter trailer
It's tough to keep getting it up for these trailers knowing that the movie should have been released this month but is being held until July of next year.
Nevertheless.

I'm kind of glad it is not this month. I'm too into Twilight coming out. This gives me something to look forward to.

You know, Kathy, when they first announced HP was being pushed to July, I couldn't figure out why, but now I realize it must be because of competition from "Twilight." I can't remember for sure, but I seem to recall that "Twilight" was initially supposed to be released in December.

They should just release Potter in December. There's so many other crap movies around that time anyway, they'd do spectacularly if they picked the right weekend.

I think December is when all the Oscar-bait movies come out -- they're still eligible for February's Oscars, and released close enough to the voting time so that people still remember them.
Summer really is a better time for blockbusters, I guess. It just sucks to wait.

I think WB made the decision to push HP b/c they already made a billion dollars in 2008 with Batman, and they needed to give the shareholders another safe bet in 2009.
This looks sooooo good...it's not a kids movie anymore!
PS--went to the Twilight premiere tonight in Westwood--on the red carpet--RPattz (as the screaming teens call Rob Pattinson) is a STAR!
