arrow "Lost" is back January 21: Who cares?

bigger.jpg

Is it too early to get excited about the new season of "Lost," which comes back to television January 21, or is it too late -- as in, three years too late?

I stopped watching the show in the third season, but after the writers stopped scanning "Lost" fan forums for plot ideas, and the network stopped dicking around with reruns, long stretches with no episodes at all, and changing what time the show is on, I became a regular viewer again.

The SciFi channel now shows four episodes of "Lost" every Monday night, which I have been DVRing. Last week when I saw the following trailer for the upcoming fifth season of the show, I actually got that little tingle of excited anticipation usually reserved for "The Office."

So, what's the consensus? Are we still on board the "Lost" train, or has that ship sailed? Should I have tried for an airplane metaphor instead?

There are only two shows I watch on TV, 24 and L O S T. So to answer your question, you damn right I care. I'm excited for the new season. I want to know what happens on the island after it was moved. I want to see more of depressed Jack eating his words about Locke. I want my sexy latina Michelle Rodriguez to come back in a flashback! I want to continue to cheer for good ole Ben and hopes he avenges his daughter's death. Sorry Des...

Yes, we care! I had several friends who jumped ship during Season 3, but damn did they miss a good Season 4! I think Season 4 had one of the best episodes from the entire run of the show. Can't wait for January!

The commercial I saw the other day actually got me excited about the show. They appear to have something in season 4 they've never had before: a goal, a mission, returning to the island to help people instead of wandering around aimlessly. Maybe there's hope yet.

yeah, i'm totally in.

as i watched my dvr'ed episode of the entourage season finale, i lamented that it wouldn't be until next summer when i'd see the boys.

in similar fashion, i've been waiting patiently for the return of lost. i'm sure abc will run some marathon of episodes to gear everyone back up before the next season, and we'll all catch the island fever. man, that sounded lame.

who cares is correct... if you have not started watching it then save your self and don't get started. But if you have already gotten suckered in to it then check it out.

the truth is they all died on the air plane crash and your watching them as ghosts. hehe
