First the thong, now the bras ...
Earlier this year, a woman sued Victoria's Secret because she said one of the company's thongs injured her.
Now, other women contend that some of the company's bras are causing rashes, hives and permanent scarring. One woman has already filed a lawsuit, but it could potentially morph into a class action lawsuit. VS officials acknowledge they've received complaints and are investigating: "Customer safety and satisfaction are always our primary concerns and we take seriously any issues our customers may have with our products."
I hope they get to the bottom of this (and, no, that wasn't meant to be any kind of weak pun). I don't know about other folks out there, but I don't like the idea that underwear can go rogue on people.

Comments:
Thanks for the public service announcement, Felicia. Seriously, I had a gift card for free VS underwear, and I was totally going to get a matching bra. I'll just stick to GAP Body, me thinks. Victoria's Secret is over-rated anyway.

I thought we had rephrased "going rogue" to "going Palin."

This is serious. Very serious. Rashes? Hives? Permanent scarring? WTF? Commando is a term for a soldier or a warrior, but it appears "going commando" may be the safest alternative. The product has already impacted poor Amy Winehouse (see Heather's post)...
As an unofficial VS spokesperson*, I want to assure the community that...awe forget it. Just buy Fruit of the Loom...

Those bras are pretty much body armor. Have you looked at the inside of them? They have gigantic slopes of padding and gel! Women stock up on those and wear them 7 days a week. I think I'd be in pain and injured too if I had my girls at the mercy of being "sexy" 7 days a week.

I JUST BOUGHT A NEW TSHIRT GAP BRA AND WORE ONE TIME, AND I HAVE HUGE WELTS AND REDNESS, AND BLISTERING, I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH VS BRAS. THIS BRA WAS MADE IN THE PHILLIPINES. THE WELTS LOOK AS IF THEY COULD LEAVE SCARRING. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD SIMILIAR REACTIONS TO A GAP BRA? THANKS DONNA
