arrow So there's this show called "Mad Men" ...

I refuse to give up on this.

Did you watch Jon Hamm on "SNL" last night? Here he is in a skit featuring his "Mad Men" character, Don Draper:

I saw only part of the show, but Hamm seemed to conduct himself well, and if he's good on a show that really sucks, just imagine how amazing he is on a show that is truly great.

Tonight is the season finale of "Mad Men." It's on AMC at 10 p.m. Watch it. Here's a sneak preview (CAUTION: Spoilers in the comments):

PREVIOUSLY ON THE BEEHIVE:

Yeah, the couple of skits he was in at the beginning of the show were chuckle inducing. I guess I'll have to hit up the hulu and watch a couple of episodes.

i enjoyed his monologue, especially the bits where he explained how the show was about dancing with stars, and that obama and mccain were in tonight's season finale smoking really marijuana.

Darn! I missed him last night. Thanks, Heather, for the teaser skit. Makes me appreciate the show even more. Haven't watched the season finale yet, though, it's on my DVR. Won't take long. Probably will get to it tomorrow.

Thanks for keeping this show in the spotlight.

It's the Cuban Missile Crisis and people be baring their souls like crazy... Don, Pete, Peggy, Betty...

First of all, I loved that the only commercial in the episode came from Sterling Cooper's client, Heineken.

Also, Betty Draper is fast becoming my favorite character. Getting down in a men's restroom and then eating cold fried chicken straight out of the fridge... my favorite Betty scene, second only to her shooting the neighbor's birds out of the sky.

Peggy confessing to Pete was crazy, though not as crazy as Pete's reaction. Oh, and I actually cheered when Don Draper countered Duck's veiled threats with the simple "I don't have a contract."

So... what did we think? I thought it was great -- the perfect season finale.

Here I thought Father Gill was going to go for it with Peggy and it turns out he just wanted to save her.

Who knew copywriting could be so damn dramatic? Awesome show. Great finale to a perfectly written drama.

On SNL, I was just sad that 'Zoe' from the West Wing was on playing her normal 'Mad Men' character and no one clapped for her, but the old dude got applause (you can tell I've only seen Mad Men a couple of times).

I also really liked the 'how to get ladies like Don Draper' sketch. And I liked Weekend Update. The rest was drab.

Well, the "Mad Men" guys do know product placement ... Last week, there was a full category devoted to the show on "Jeopardy." I'm expecting them to hit "SportsCenter," "Sesame Street" and the Time-Life music infomercials sometime in the next two weeks ...
