Comments:
No joke: I thought B.B. King died last year.
Warnors needs to hire a copy editor to work on its press releases: "Ticket prices are $!05."

Big congrats to Patrick for scoring that gig. The dudes in PCB work their asses off and deserve to be on the bill with a legend like Mr. King.

Heather, I thought the same thing. I think there was another blues guy who died that made me think BB had passed, too. Crazy to think he's still touring at age 83.

So, wait. Who died then?

Yes! Congratulations to Patrick Contreras!
He's also playing *this* Saturday at the FUSE festival.
You can read more about it on my blog.
...wait, I don't have a blog.
You can read more about it at

Ok, now that the cheap advert is over: I've seen B.B. King twice---great showman, authentic blues-meister. Team that up with one of the hardest working guys in local show biz (Mr. Contreras) and you have quite the beautiful New Year's gig.
And talk about 'hard-working'...did you know that before the P.Contreras Band plays at FUSE, they are playing in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco??? Yup! Then he's rocketing back the 180 miles from the Bay to play for us local festival types. Respect points to those folks!

They're probably listed in here. I'll let you look around.

Ah, it was Bo Diddley who died. This was in June.
