arrow That's what she said: Best "Office" premiere episode ever?

NUP_131881_0091.JPG

Last night's one-hour premiere of "The Office," titled "Weight Loss," was awesome. There were too many amazing things happening for me to recount them all, so here are just a few of my favorite parts:

Kevin: "Wait, back up. Do you think I'm retarded?"

Dwight: "One more bite of eclair each. Hold it in your mouth if you can't swallow."
Jim (to Michael): "Really? Nothing?"

Creed: "That wasn't a tapeworm."

Michael: "I once went 28 years without having sex. And then again for seven years."

Andy: "I really want to have washboard abs the first time Angela sees me naked."

Pam:
"What up, 2-1-2?"

Holly pining for Michael, Angela and Dwight hooking up in the warehouse, Pam finally having her college experience, Kelly Kapoor passing out and then playing it cool (or not) with Ryan, Stanley taking the stairs and fighting the power, and that thing that happened at the end with Jim and Pam -- all good, good stuff.

So, what do we think? Did last night's episode erase the stench of last season's hour-long eps? Is it the hallmark of a super-strong season to come, or a fluke like last season's standout episode "Dinner Party"? Will Toby come back? Will Ryan the Temp Fire-d Guy stick around? Will Jim and Pam actually -- you know...? Will we ever find out what the hell was going on with Meredith's face?

Discuss, and enjoy a preview of next week's episode, "Business Ethics":

Ahhh. the sun shines a little brighter when new episodes of the office are on!! What was going on with meredith's face? Starting the second week, it was peeling or something. I didnt get what was up with that?!

Michael: and that...her butt refuses to quit!!!

Definitely a strong episode. My favorite part had to be Pam's talking head on the laptop. That and Creed selling Kelly a "tapeworm". Let's hope they keep this up.

Pitch perfect episode to start the season with.

Even with the engagement, I wonder if they're going to let the Pam's new college-guy-friend thing play out some more.

Dwight and his gut was awesome the whole episode. And when Dwight was insistent he was not "saying hi" to Pam while Jim was on the phone with her - classic Dwight.

Maybe I have to watch it again, but I thought the episode was only o.k., up till the 2nd half hour, after which it rocked.

Oh yes, and I have an extreme dislike for that dude trying to charm Pam.

I learned that it pays to buy an inflatable sumo suit, rather than renting one - this information could come in handy.
Also, in case anyone's thinking of trying Kelly's diet of maple syrup, cayenne pepper, lemon and water - well, just be careful how much pepper you use...that stuff will make you nauseous after only a few hours. Not that I've ever tried it.

Aww, Will. You beat me to it.

That's what she said. Since they cast an actual "someone" in that role, I foresee more Pam/College Guy action.

Also: maybe next season I'll start doing "Mad Men" recaps.

Dwight was cracking me up with his bug spray.

I set my DVR to record the show since I was working late. I got off (TWSS) work at 9ish and decided to grab a quick drink with some peeps. The plan was to watch the whole episode beginning around 11PM...MY COMCAST F-ed UP!!!

It didn't record. Then my internet was out on Friday and I couldn't catch it online...

I had to avoid the Beehive. I could face the fact that HMac's posse would be sharing the best moments...

Saturday, everything was better. I sat in front f the computer and found heaven...I love the premier.

Here's to another great season.

Favorite moment? Michale (to the unborn bastard): Who's your daddy?

Better late than never, TS. That's why I didn't want to put the really important part - the engagement of my boyfriend - right out there for everyone to read.

Wait?!?! My internet went down with five minutes left...I noticed some tension between Pam and Jim (he wasn't coping with her independence wall). Did he call Karen and are they now engaged? That was a cool twist...I'll have to watch the end of last week's episode before Thursday.
