Will's photo blog: I attended a Grizzlies game
It's the 7th inning stretch, and I'm in the pool section. Here's what's happened so far ...
Parker and I have a hairiest belly contest (what's that dude looking at?):
Here's me with a bunch of people I don't know:
This is me with my friend, dippin' dots lover and pool-party organizer, Jaime Holt, and our lifeguard:
More people I don't know:
Practicing our synchronized swimming for the Olympics:
More random friends of Jaime:
The view ($30 tix get you dinner, your own private lifeguard, as well as personal powder rooms):
Highlight of the evening -- I totally caught this homerun ball in the pool (not really ... but some dude from the other team actually did hit a ball over the center field wall and into the pool as I was standing by it. I totally jumped into the pool, and I got on the jumbotron, baby -- after years of trying. Since he was for the away team, I should've totally thrown it back. But how was I supposed to know? I wasn't paying attention):
Best part -- I totally blogged from the game (gotta love free WiFi on the Fulton Mall):
This is totally gonna be a my new MySpace profile pic (Have I said "totally" enough?):

Oh, Will.
I thought these pictures were going to be for private Beehive use only.

I'll make you a deal...you leave your shirt on, and so will I.
Posted by: Ernie at July 31, 2008 10:09 PM
heather -- i couldnt keep the beehive faithful in the dark on the awesomeness that is the pool area at the grizzlies game.
ernie -- too late. so, your turn. c'mon ... lets see it.

All I can say is I'm glad I'm not at work when I saw this post as the scream I emitted scared the neighbors. And they are a mile away.
Posted by: Michael at July 31, 2008 11:21 PM
Nice. Makes me want to go to a Grizzlies game. Never been.
Posted by: Alana at July 31, 2008 11:38 PM
Alana, you should go. I'm a bit biased cause I'm a baseball fan, especially of the Giants (who the Griz are affiliated with), but I've been with people who don't really like baseball and they all have had a blast. Tickets are priced right, food is a bit expensive but that's typical of any ballpark, minor or major.
Posted by: Michael at July 31, 2008 11:52 PM
...I'm on the horn with the Olympics committee, faxed a copy of the syncro team....
hold on...
-okay they have an openning at 2:30 on Tuesday.
(they wanna know if you're okay with speedo's.)
Posted by: wet towel at July 31, 2008 11:53 PM
Funny thing is I pretty much know all those people you don't know.
You have no idea how cool all those people are! And even with their shirts on.
And I, for one, totally affirm and support you taking your shirt off and showing it on the Beehive! Dance like no one's watching, and swim the same way!
Posted by: Stephen at August 1, 2008 2:46 AM
ok with speedos? silly question, WT. i wouldnt have it any other way.
Posted by: will at August 1, 2008 6:37 AM
Will, if I had one-fourth the body-image confidence that you have in this blog post, I could take over the state and solve the budget crisis. You rock.
A suggestion for the next installment of the shirtless series: Do some on-camera reporting and see what happens.
Posted by: Jeffresno at August 1, 2008 7:25 AM
Forget the stills, I want video! And besides, you didn't say how the food was! Was it worth getting half naked?
Posted by: katbon at August 1, 2008 8:21 AM
Dude, you could have so posted this for HNT.
Posted by: marcel at August 1, 2008 8:44 AM
You're my hero, Will. I may even take my shirt off at a Grizzlies game. On second thought. . . NO!

I like your nipples.
Posted by: girlmonkey at August 1, 2008 11:11 AM
This was the best party ever! If only you had included the pictures of "the ice cream of the future".
Posted by: Jaime Holt at August 1, 2008 11:14 AM
Nice. Totally made my day! (How did you know???)
I totally agree with Jeffresno - every blog from now on ~ shirtless.
Oh, and you may want to stay away from Parker...
Posted by: Sara M at August 1, 2008 11:18 AM
Bless you my son, but I'm with Jim on this. My shirt is so staying on.
Posted by: Denny at August 1, 2008 11:25 AM
Two things:
A.) Did your wife not want to pose with you? Wait, she was taking the pictures, right?
B.) Is that a dead dog in the seventh picture down?
OK, one more ...
Why you trying to steal my thunder.
Posted by: Famous at August 1, 2008 11:48 AM
Very awesome Will! If you like painted your belly orange we wouldn't be able to tell you apart!
Posted by: ShyTrbleMaker at August 1, 2008 11:49 AM
hahaha, josh ... i actually have no freaking clue what that is ... i dont think it was a dead dog, but thats as good a guess as any.
Posted by: will at August 1, 2008 11:52 AM
No dogs were injured in the photographing of this party. The suggested dead dog in question is actually a fringed blanket corner.
Posted by: Jaime Holt at August 1, 2008 12:17 PM
I'm pretty sure that "dead dog" is someone's blanket.
Posted by: Abe Lopez at August 1, 2008 12:23 PM
are you the one on the left?
Posted by: swp at August 1, 2008 1:49 PM
Who won the contest?
Posted by: Kristen at August 1, 2008 1:52 PM
LOL!! The photos were great!
Posted by: Genevieve at August 1, 2008 1:58 PM
Your shirtless bravery has inspired me to streak through downtown...

Bravelove if you pass P and Inyo let me know what time.
Posted by: Michael at August 1, 2008 2:18 PM
Freakin' hilarious dude!!
Watching baseball on a lovely summer evening is pretty fabulous. Watching the game while hanging out at the pool -- even better. Watching the game on a lovely summer evening by the pool while you make a fool of yourself -- freakin' fantastic!
The pix made my day. Thanks.
Posted by: SBR at August 1, 2008 2:29 PM
I hope this isn't the model for THE photo blog.
Posted by: Craig at August 1, 2008 3:07 PM
Wow! Totally Amazing!
This looks like a great way to take in a game.
Thanks for sharing your pool party-while eating-while watching the game with all of us. Nice to see how the
celebrities live . . .
Posted by: Aileen at August 1, 2008 3:32 PM
Will, great blog. From the synchronized swimming to the home run splash down, everything was fabulous. Jaime Holt knows how to throw a party (the only thing missing was B.E.B.P (Brown Eye Beer Pong)).
BTW, my streak is now 17 games attended with zero wins for the Grizzlies...
Posted by: Travis at August 1, 2008 3:34 PM
OMG. This is fantastic.
You should never tell the truth about those balls you catch in the pool. Wait, that didn't come out right at all.
:)
Like the random people and pics.

Will! you are a HERO to us all!
isn't that fresno amazing-o-singer Lisa Kao in pic #2 w/chin in hand?
Posted by: blake at August 1, 2008 4:21 PM
On the photo where you're doing the synch swimming moves, I'm pretty sure the woman to your left (our right) in the photo is Christine Baranski, so that's something.
Posted by: kent at August 1, 2008 4:40 PM
You would be congratulated alot more if you posted the pics of your shirtless blogging Heather.
Posted by: Abe Lopez at August 1, 2008 4:41 PM

'...Fresno

(I was going to say 'hairy-man-boobs'
but
well,
as there also are ladies in the line-up,(elegant graceful ones at that...),
an that whole 'planet of the apettes pinup' vision
just ain't gonna do nothin' for the town's image...

Will,
You look great, especially in the pool. Memories of "Finding Nemo."

I have seen that chunky belly even before it was hairy; I used to plant smoochies on it. I love you, Will. You definitely Rock! Is that still an acceptable compliment. I don't think I should participate in hairy or shirtless snapshot contest. Toooo much information
Posted by: Shasha at August 5, 2008 7:42 AM
Wow, you finally made it to the big screen! I guess moving to Cali actually did the trick.
On a side note, being in that pool while watching a baseball game is PIMP!! I'm so jealous. I don't think the Rays would appreciate me showing up to the Trop in a bathing suit only... although my being escorted from the building may make the big screen one way or another.
You are the MAN!!
