Oh My Zabka! The Fresno Grizzlies have made my week ...
William Zabka (aka Johnny Lawrence, '83 All-Valley Karate Tournament champ and leader of the Cobra Kai) will be in Fresno on May 15 for Totally Rad '80s Night at The Chuk. What all Zabka will do is not yet decided, but when the team asked if Parker could get all Daniel-Sahn and crane-kick him, Zabka was cool with it. So this should be awesome.
To put into perspective how big this is for The Beehive: If you go to our MySpace page, Zabka is fifth on the list of people we want to meet. More perspective: I have this shirt and will wear it on May 15.
Likewise, the Grizzlies are going all out for this '80s night, which is also a Thirsty Thursday (best day ever?). Paul Kennedy, the team's director of media and public relations, says the Griz are trying to set up Nintendos and Ataris inside the park. Plus, all kinds of other '80s shenanigans are in the works.
"If anybody has ideas. We'd love to hear them," he says. Go for it, Beehivers.

I was all set not to return to the Chuk for the rest of the season, but this... this is the only thing that could have brought me back (besides getting the number 4 person on our My Space list of people we'd like to meet, natch).
Wait, no! May 15 is Office finale night!!

I had the biggest crush on him when I was a teen. I wondered if he's aged ok. Lol. Guess I'll have to see. Is that ok for me to say on here? :-P

Yeah, Claire, that's an awesome video. I fwd'd it around to some of the folks in the office once we heard the Zabka news.
That band played at Starline in early 07 and they were a hoot. It even wrote about it on the Beehive, I think ... gimme a second ... go search function, go ... YEP!

Watched Karate Kid (AGAIN!) on TV last night. This video is awesome...it's so great to see them all together, and for them to have such a fantastic sense of humor about it all.
