Showdown at the Not Ok Corral
**UPDATE** TMZ is reporting that another ambulance, more fire trucks and a police helicopter have arrived at Britney's house.
Backstory: Earlier today, Britney showed up 90 minutes late for a deposition with Federline's lawyer that she has postponed five times previously. She stayed for about 15 minutes and then left again. After the hearing when a photographer asked if the lawyer had been nice to her, Britney allegedly responded with an emphatic "No."
Original Post: According to US Weekly, police and an ambulance have been called to Britney Spears' house.
Apparently there was a bit of an incident earlier this evening when Kevin's bodyguards went to Britney's home to pick up the kids, and Britney has refused to turn them over.
I can't imagine why the ambulance has been called, but I really hope Britney hasn't gone off the deep end. Taking her own kids hostage doesn't look like a good sign.

Comments:
damnit!! i feel like such a loser commenting on this but i can't resist. do you blame me, haha. anyways, Britney is sick. what has she done for those kids? can anyone answer me that? what has she done for them? from what i read, (which is the only source i have, sorry, i'm not in the know) she only wants to party, shop, party, shop, sleep, shop, and party. she's not doing the things a responsible mother would do. i'm not picking on just britney, that goes for all the baby mommas running around Fresno who are looking for a quick nut while partying at your local bar or club in Fresno.
i don't know what is going on right now at that house, but i'm hoping this is a final straw where she loses those kids for good. well maybe not for good, but for the time being until she gets her head right. people say she's mentally ill. boo who!! i don't buy that and don't accept that as an excuse. she sure seemed fine until she got knocked up and duped in marrying the God K-Fed. well i guess she is crazy because only a crazy girl would want to get involved with a pimp, i mean a loser, like K-fed.
but whatever, she's not following or respecting the court orders. i'm tired of her getting second chances but who am i to question the justice system. women get whatever they want, when they want when it comes to California and divorce cases. my brother in law's wife wakes up one day and decides to leave him for other men while she's taking him to court and asking for child support and alimony. will someone explain to me how that can be? where's WetTowel when you need him, haha.

...I'm here, (didn't know I had a following, please forgive my absence...)
I don't think you're a looser for commenting, this is what is presented as news, and, based upon the bizarre coverage of the situation,(lack of sleep, presence of headcold, sitting up looking at UTube footage, ---what, something like 7 squad-cars, three separate ambulances and a helicopter involved in taking this person to the hospital??)
I'd have to disagree, mdub, in a way.
I do think Ms. Spears is not a well person.
Regardless of their position, stature, or seeking for attention, I really don't like seeing anyone in pain, and obviously she, and several people around her are.
Is this entertainment?
Well, to be honest, for me it's more of a study in the varying behaviours in the situation, (I've been in human services and worked with the mentally ill for years,) so my interests have gone that route, -it ceased being funny some time ago.
Oddly enough, not too many years ago, I had a young woman to care for who was highly self-destructive, (I was her 1 on 1,) --and I was often surprised how much the other staff were like '...jeez, what an attention seeking little bitch...'
-Bottom line? For me, she was somebody who deserved to live and sort her issues, -despite the bizarre behavior and punishment she could dole out...
Realizing that these are not just 'antics,' I no longer see it as funny, and really don't feel right commenting on her behaviors as if she was a sane person.
I hope she gets it together, I hope for her kids sake, that she does, that she develops a healthy relationship with them and the rest of society, --does it mean the end of Britney the pop star? -well maybe for a while, but I've always felt that personal well being, as well as a healthy life is more important than 'making it big,' and dying for one's craft at the expense of what takes so many artists down (sorry, have lost too many people to 'the lifestyle.')
She needs help, hopefully she'll get it, it sounds like the proper channels are being entered, taken, and no doubt chronicled by the paparazzi down to the last minute detail.
As for your former sister in law?
That's painful, very personal, and in no way would I want to come across with anything that could be considered snyde, snarky, or making sport of such a thing.
Divorce, and the reasons for divorce, sucks.
Without knowing any of the details, heck, even if I did, please just know that my prayers are in fact, with your bro-in-law, their kids, their futures, -as well as your having strong feelings about the injustice and hurtfulness of it all.
People can treat people horrendously, they all find their own reasons to justify doing so, and that's an awful fact.
What we (as individuals who know better?) can do?
Be there for them, be a shoulder to cry on, somebody to tell an awful joke to make them laugh when they need it, attempt to cook them something that they like, (even if it ends in failure and smoke alarms,) -just love them, realize that they're going to do strange things, that their reactions may be severe, and that you're presence with them means more than they will ever know...
(Consider them as you would a burn victim,)
-eventually they will recover, we're all a lot stronger than we give ourselves credit for.
-hope this year goes good for you.
-Eric
