_MG_0363.jpg The Fresno Community Chorus will sing John Rutter's "Wind in the Willows" in a special series of kid-oriented concerts 10:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday. I write about it in Friday's issue of 7. But we didn't have room to include some of the great photos that the chorus sent along. (Alas, newsprint is a finite resource, and on these extremely busy fall weekends, sometimes it's hard to fit in everything we want!)

This is the first time that the well-regarded chorus -- which usually tackles the major sophisticated works of the classical canon -- is trying a youth-oriented concert. If you have a child and would love to expose them to choral music, this delightful piece -- which will include soloists dressed as various critters -- is a great introduction.

After the jump: more amusing pics of choir members. (Wonder if they got double duty out of their costumes at Halloween?)
