It's official ... Van Halen + Fresno
A David Lee Roth-fronted Van Halen is officially Fresno-bound, performing at Save Mart Center on Nov. 29. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday, costing $49.50, $79.50 & $149.50.
We talked about the probability of a Fresno date a few weeks ago, but now it's a lock. Official word from the Save Mart Center came over e-mail this afternoon. In honor of the news, here's a clip of "Panama" from the band's final rehearsal before hitting the road.

Yea...I don't think so. I'm old enough to have seen them as the original band, David Lee Roth on his own, Sammy with the band, Sammy on his own, the David and Sammy show.... I've seen it.
I'd rather keep my happy memories of when they were young and hot, than now. Nope, not even for free tickets and the suite view.

Thanks for the low-down on this event Mike .However, everyone should know that Michael Anthony will not be joining the reformed Van Halen, he was not even asked to come back to the band since he has been playing off and on with Sammy Hagar over the past few years. So I guess Eddie VanHalen was upset and butt hurt over this, or was it just an excuse for Eddie to invite his own son to play bass during the tour...Hmmmm??? I for one won't shell out any money for this event. A Real Bummer if you ask me.

They really expect people to pay that much to see them? I'd rather spend the money over at Cabo Wabo (if it ever gets built). Way to rip off all the people who've supported you Ed.

Hearing Wolfgang(?) try to sing gave me indigestion. Michael Anthony was THE backup vocalist...at least they didn't hire some mini-skirt-wearing-type female backup sing....ers....um...maybe that's not a bad idea...
