Karen's Z-List Hollywood Report
Karen Z. is out on the town again and bringing us another high-profile Hollywood encounter!
If you'll recall, my good friend, Karen, was the first to bring you an exclusive! story about ubiquitous blogger Perez Hilton and the Case of the Missing Cheeseburgers. Now Karen has solved another mystery that has plagued many of us since 1990 - whatever happened to Milli Vanilli's Fab Morvan? You'll be happy to know, he's still recording music, and still sporting that sexy late 80s style!
Karen reports:
"I ended up hanging out with two people at a Christmas get-together in downtown LA...
Fab Morvan and Brian Tee (the main dude in The Fast and the Furious 3/Tokyo Drift). Yes, it was a stellar night in a phat 2000-square foot loft! The view was awesome. The people were interesting. Sadly, I had no idea who the guests were because I don't watch movies.
I felt bad for Fab Morvan who asked me if I had any knowledge of his music. Clearly, my only recollection was of his Milli Vanilli days. He reminded me that he has recorded new music since then. He took a picture of me (for his own collection I guess) and life went on.
As for Brian Tee... How sad am I? I had no idea who he was. I figured he was some actor since everyone was asking him about his latest project. After a round of 20 questions with him, I found out he would be an oak tree if he had to be a tree (that was my first question) and that he grew up at my rival high school. I also found out that he knows more about me than I do of him... since I did most of the talking during the brief encounter.
Needless to say, I have walked away from that night with two new "friends" on MySpace. Good times. So here's the pic... Enjoy!!! I'm with Fab on the left and my friend "M" who's a denim designer."
Thanks for that report, Karen, and for reminding us of a better time - a time when pop stars actually knew how to lip-sync - and that Hollywood has, indeed, made not one, but two sequels to the crapfest that was The Fast and the Furious.
We look forward to your next Z-List Hollywood Report!

Comments:
That scene of those two douchebags from Milli Vanilli dancing on stage, while the record was skipping, was pure magic. What an honor it must have been for Fab(ricated career)to meet Karen.

Hello. My name is Ron Wycoff. I saw in the Bee that you wrote about the Fresno music scene.
