Announced: Adam Ant, Sept. 17@ the Tower Theatre

Promoter Tim Gardea is checking another act off the tgp Adam“bucket list” of musicians he’s booked.

After a series of sold out shows in 2012, 80′s pop icon Adam Ant is back on tour with his band,The Good, The Mad & The Lovely Posse. They will play Fresno Sept. 17 at the Tower Theatre. Ant is on tour in support of his latest album “Adam Ant is the Blueblack Hussar in Marrying the Gunner’s Daughter.” This will be Ant’s largest North American tour in 18 years.

Tickets are on sale on-line April 12 and at retail locations April 19. In Fresno: Valentino’s, Wavelengths SBI and the Tower Theater box office. In Bakersfield: World Records, Wavelengths SBI, Impact Streetwear, Hoggz, Rockabilly Swag.

I know a few friends who will be excited at the prospect of seeing Ant here in town.

I was lucky enough to see Adam Ant at the Warfield in San Francisco in the 80′s! The opening act was some band called INXS (!). What an awesome night!! :)

Adam Ant played Warnor’s March 29, 1983. He had disbanded the Ants by them but a couple of them came on stage and jammed at the end.
