Win tickets to ‘Shrek’ — and a chance to go backstage
The musical version of “Shrek” will be roaring into the Saroyan Theatre April 3 and 4, and we have a special contest to promote. You can enter to win a family four-pack of tickets to see the 7:30 p.m. April 4 performance.
To enter, leave a comment on this post telling us who your favorite Shrek character is and why. One lucky family will receive a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the actual making of ”Shrek” backstage an hour prior to the show.The deadline is Thursday, March 28. The winning family will be notified by email on Friday, March 29. Rules are after the jump.

My favorite Shrek character is Princess Fiona because she has such a great transformation story from wanting the fairy tale prince to falling in love with a genuine, sweet Ogre. Great message it sends, and Fiona just rocks!

the best is the Gingerbread Man by far. Because he has some of the best comedy lines of the movie. His lines always knock them out of the park.
My favorite character is Pinochio! He is so hilarious, he’s so innocent yet has an attitude that makes him tough looking and strong. I would love to see this production!

My 5 year old daughter favorite shrek character is Princess Fiona. She also loves the music to Shrek and sings the songs and she loves watching Shrek on youtube. For Halloween she had to dress up as Princess Fiona and made her baby sister dress up as puss in boots.
Donkey he is so care free and wants to be everyone’s best friend!!!!

My 2 year old daughter’s favorite character is Fiona, because, “she is just like mama!” My 7 year old daughter likes Monsieur Hood because the song he sings when trying to save Fiona is, “hi-larious!” My wife’s favorite character is Shrek because, “Shrek has enough ear wax to make a candle, just like my husband.” My wife…so funny.
