Rogue Festival kicks off tonight
All of Fresno’s cultural arts types are no doubt gearing up for the Rogue Festival’s 12th year. It all kicks off with a RogueHop party 7 p.m. tonight at the Tower Theatre.
If you haven’t started making check marks in your Rogue maps, this may be a good primer. Lots of performers will be milling about trying to hype their shows. Several will offer up abridged performances. And it’s free.
This is also your chance to buy your Rogue Bucks, or (new this year) VIP weekend passes, before things get crazy. In the meantime, check out my coverage of the festival. I talked with some touring performers about the Rogue’s cachet on the fringe festival circuit. There’s also a nice FAQ with everything else you might need to know. And then keep checking back as the festival progresses to check out our picks and reviews (or share your own).

I love the Rogue shows and have been going for years. I have to give a huge standing ovation to Altered Modalities. Their show this year is a MUST SEE! These dancers are athletic, power, inspirational, and great movers. If you are a fan of dance and/or athleticism, you’ll love Altered Modalities. So happy Fresno and the Central Valley is a home to these outstanding artist.
Make sure you support Fresno Dance and go see their final show next Saturday March 9th and 2:30!!! You won’t regret it.
I have watched NOCO since they began in Fresno at the art museum. I was disappointed this year as there was so much going on at the same time I was confused and could”t appreciate the dancing and movements of the people on the floor.
On the other hand, what talent and thrill it was to be part of the audience where Gemmy Wilcox performed. She is the very best!!!!!
