Fresno Grand Opera’s ‘A Life in 4 Seasons’ postponed to March 23

UPDATED to reflect correction on venue for rescheduled performance: It will be held at the Shaghoian Hall.

ORIGINAL POST: A “major technical failure” at Friday’s rehearsal for “A Life in 4 Seasons” has resulted in the cancellation of Saturday night’s performance at the Shaghoian Hall.

The Fresno Grand Opera had planned to pair an original film with a live performance of Vivaldi’s classic “The Four Seasons.” Part of the film was corrupted as a result of the technical failure, said Ronald D. Eichman, general director of the opera, in a statement. “We are able to recover the film, however the necessary rehearsal time to finalize the performance was lost requiring us to reschedule,” he said.

The new date is 8 p.m. March 23 at the Shaghoian Hall.

Eichman said customers for the sold-out performance are being contacted by phone and email.  All tickets will be honored for the new date.  Those customers who are unable to attend are being directed to contact the opera for an exchange or refund.
